Several weeks ago I mentioned the word "autoblogging" on my website, which got several people confused. Autoblogging is not a blog about cars, although an "auto blogger" may mean exactly that.
Autoblogging is a term used to describe automatic blog and automated blog. In other words, instead of the usual method of writing the content yourself, you can actually automate the content and linking for your blogs. Autoblogging is a great way to create a fun and informative site. Furthermore, an autoblog, provided it is set up correctly can make you alot of money.
1) How To Blog Automatically
Getting proper hosting is probably the most important part because of the fact that this entire process relies upon whether or not your hosting service makes allowance for the use of cron jobs. Cron job are scheduled tasks that are run by the hosts server. These jobs carefully execute specific commands in a timely fashion so as to automatically update whatever functionality is needed.
The next thing that is needed will be a domain name related to the niche of interest. The domain name should reflect the subject of interest. Preferably, the domain name would contain the keywords of interest. This will help it rank higher in the search engine results for that keyword. Although, the domain name is not the only ranking factor for a particular keyword, having your keyword of interest or preferably an exact match of your keyword of interest will help your efforts to rank your site high in the search results greatly.
2) Auto blogging software
Next comes the blogging platform. As far as autoblogging goes, nothing comes even close to Wordpress, an open-source blogging software that you can use on your own domains, and modify as you see fit.Once hosting is located and acquired and the name servers are updated, proceed with the installation of the WordPress blogging platform. Most hosting services have the Fantastico De Luxe script installation software preloaded on all of their servers. If this is the case, simply click on the Fantastico De Luxe icon and install the latest WordPress version. It can either be under the root of your domain of in a sub-folder or on a sub-domain.
Next all you'll need is a Wordpress autoblog pulgin like PowerAutoblog. Installing the plugin in very straight forward. After downloading the zip file, extract it and upload the main powerautoblog folder to your Wordpress plugin folder i.e. /wp-content/plugins/. Next, select Dashboard > Plugins to activate the plugin.
As recommended by the Users' Guide, I select one of the provided themes. I can later change to other themes once I have it running. Next, I go to the settings' screen. I was surprised that most of the settings were already done for me, during the activation of the plugin. This certainly save some time.
All I have to do is enter the Activation Code, Adsense Publisher ID, Clickbank ID and Amazon ID and fill in the keywords for the Clickbank Hopfeed. I can later change the other settings. Click Save Changes and that's it.Once you have completed your autoblog, monetize it using an affiliate program that contains products of services related to your niche.
To expand your blog's traffic exponentially, you'll also need a language translator script installed on your autoblogs. Lastly, you'll also need a social bookmarking script that automatically submits your new blog posts to social bookmarking sites like Del.icio.us.
