Blogging is what I'd like to call "your baby," because it's something that you can control. You can determine the frequency, the topic, and the style. It's more of like you making yourself heard. Kind of your own little space. Well that space can make you some money if you're diligent. Aside from putting adsense on your blog which includes text ads, affiliate programs, and pay per post opportunities to make the bucks, there are companies out there that will pay you to blog.
This is the way it works: advertisers seek places for their ads and just like tv can be the answer for a national audience, a blog can be the answer for a web audience. Some blogging networks where the advertisers go to seek you, the blogger, out requires certain things. It may be that your blog is over a month old, has a certain number of viewers, etc... Though most have very minimal requirements and you can get approved in no time.
While you can express yourself anyway you can, some advertisers frown upon porn blogs, illegal activities, and the like.
Once you are approved you can log on and choose which advertiser you want based on the topics of your blog and then keep blogging and get paid.
The pay is usually through paypal and is net 30. Though if you write posts everyday, you'll be paid everyday.
