Six Steps to Creating a Great Affiliate Marketing Website - Marketing
Affiliate marketing is a great way for a person to earn money online without doing much of anything. When you practice in affiliate marketing, you are creating a revenue for yourself, the web owner, by promoting a merchant from your website or blog. When you become an affiliate marketer, you have the potential to make anywhere from 10% to 60% commission on each sale that is made from a customer clicking on your link to the merchant.
If you're serious about wanting to become one of the many that are making a lot of money being an affiliate marketer, you will first need a good website to place your advertisements. You can be an affiliate marketer without a website but your profits will not be as much as it would if you did. Here are a few basic steps that you can use to create your very own affiliate marketing website.
1. Domain Name
When you're beginning any website, you'll need a good domain name. It should be a name that is easy for you to remember as well as attract visitors to your site. Your domain name should also be one that goes with the type of website you are looking at creating. Your domain name should also be SEO friendly so that the search engine webcrawlers can attach themselves to your site.
The richer keywords you use in your domain name the higher in the search engines your web page will appear. There are software tools available that can assist you in creating your domain name if need be.
2. Choose the Niche of your site
Your site should be of something that you know a lot about. It should not only be a passion of yours but also a passion that can be marketable on the internet. The Niche that you choose for your site should attract the visitors' time and again to keep the internet marketing going.
3. Content
You need to have content related to the topic you are building your site around. Do not just fill your site full of boring ads and pay per clicks because that will only chase your visitors away. Your content should be keyword rich as well. The more keyword rich your site is, the more visitors will visit your site and as a result, the more money you will make.
To make a great affiliate marketing website you need to also provide information about the merchants you're advertising for in your content. This will make the visitor click on the link to visit the merchant and as a result you will make money.
4. Traffic
You need to make sure you keep the traffic to your site coming. Make sure you make your site keyword rich as possible. The more keywords you have in the content portion and domain name as well, the higher on the search engines you will be. This will keep the traffic going to your site and your affiliate marketing campaign will continue to run. If you fail to keep the traffic coming, you will fail at your marketing campaign.
5. Tracking tools
Put tracking tools within your website. This will give an idea of how many visitors a day you are averaging on your site and where they are coming from. If your visitors begin to decline, you may need to change your content to drive them back in.
6. Find your advertisers
The final step in building your site is to find the merchants you want to promote on your marketing site. The more merchants you have on your site, betters your chances of making more money. You can go to places such as clickbank to find your merchants you want to promote.
There you have it, your website is now up and running. Now all you have to do is wait for the visitors to come and your money will begin to come in. Affiliate marketing is an excellent way to make money online with a great website.

Affiliate Marketing Failure! - Business - Affiliate Programs
There's a good chance you won't succeed in affiliate marketing.Why? Affiliate marketing is hard work! If you took a job tomorrow, you'd go there expecting to work hard.Why? Well your new employer would want to gain maximum from you, right? So it amuses me when people show up for there first day in affiliate marketing and don't want to work hard. They want to plug in and sit back and see those $$$ come rolling in. That's funny! If the advert told you that and you believed it, then I already know the end to that particular story.
Affiliate Marketing is hard work, generating targeted traffic to you opportunity or blog is tough. No point sending someone interested in a sit back, spoon feed me program to your genuine opportunity. Why? Because affiliate marketing is hard work! Affiliate Marketing is comparable to running a small business i.e if you don't invest a lot of time, energy and money, you will fail. The only difference is you'll be able to blame the program you joined. If you don't learn how to promote, no program will work. That is the most important line in this whole article.
If you are serious about affiliate marketing, you're going to have to learn how to promote. Affiliate marketing is all about promotion.If your starting point is 0 then boy you've got a steep learning curve ahead. Get ready to learn about blogs, article writing,ppc campaigns, forums, free advertising, Seo, back links and Keywords. Any program that tells you you can make money without this knowledge isn't genuine. Affiliate marketing is hard work!
Writing articles in sufficient numbers to make a difference isn't easy, nor is creating a good blog and maintaining it with fresh relevant material. Ppc campaigns require an understanding of keywords otherwise you'll throw your money away. List building, forums,press releases and traffic exchanges are all labor intensive and hard work.
So,are you still interested in affiliate marketing ? I for one am happy I made the journey. I'm glad I made the effort to learn about techy stuff (that I hated) blogs and all the different methods. Above all I love the results I'm getting now. I'm glad I created a valuable income stream for my big family and I'm proud I've lightened my load by effectively learning stuff I thought I was allergic to. You can follow my footsteps, but do me a favor, be realistic when have you ever made loads of money from doing nothing? That's right, never. If you're prepared to learn and work hard you'll do ok, otherwise you can go back to dreaming of all those big bucks.
